In the video 01 Backstage [001] – [SCTV – Season 1], Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of odd Canadian actors who hosted “Great White North”, a improv which was featured on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob McKenzie is performed by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is brought to life by Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously made originally as a sketch to both please and laugh about annoying Canadian content policies, the duo morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
