Bob and Doug McKenzie in 030 Kentucky Dave Thomas

In the video 030 Kentucky Dave Thomas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of fictional Canadian brothers who were featured in “Great White North”, a segment which was aired on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it was aired on CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob McKenzie is performed by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by actor Dave Thomas. The bit was made originally as a skit to both fulfill and make fun of network Canadian content policies, the siblings became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie siblings became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
