These videos are in no way meant to replace the purchasing of commercially produced DVDs of SCTV. Making this series available is in no way meant to break copyright law. I am hoping fans of the series will have renewed interest in SCTV and will spread the word about this Classic Canadian Comedy Legend.
I have included all 185 episodes of the Syndicated Series of SCTV. Please note that the Syndicated Series has material not available on the current crop of DVDs, and also that the DVDs have material not available in the Syndicated Series. Please note that there is also material not available in either.
This means that at this time, the complete series is not commercially available for purchase. I hope you will consider signing the online petition at

In my mind I always hear "and Dave Thomas as the Beaver".
00:42-01:37 This is Harold Ramis, speaking for the management of Second City Television.
RIP Joe Flaherty
The first SCTV skit I ever watched was Shock Theatre. I wasn't quite 12 yet. It was late in the evening and I turned on the tv and it happened to be on. Joe Flaherty was just telling the end of the Poe story, and Billy started begging for a scarier story. When Billy's face was revealed at the very end, I couldn't stop laughing. And then Joe's casual deliverance of "Madge, I really did it this time." So funny! Only SCTV could create a skit where two parents kill their children, and have it be hilarious!!
I didn't watch "Wacky World of Poverty" until years later - boy they were ahead of their time!!
Sometime in the late 90s, I had the absolute pleasure of watching a mini-reunion of Catherine O'Hara, Andrea Martin, Joe Flaherty, Eugene Levy, Dave Thomas and Martin Short at a live show in Vancouver. They were being interviewed about SCTV, their cast mates, and their lives in general, and were even put on-the-spot at the end and asked to do some improv. They were all so funny and charming. I love all of them and have watched their careers throughout the years.
