  1. We go to our church’s candlelight service and watch White Christmas on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day we usually prepare some sort of appetizer style brunch and read the Bible before we open presents. Christmas dinner here in central PA is usually ham, sweet potatoes (sans marshmallows), potato filling and succotash with Martin’s potato rolls and butter.

  2. NEVER worry about any noise, or cameos, from your adorable babies – I LIVE to see, and hear them!! I miss having a dog around, so love seeing them, and everybody else on the DIS's doggies!! Kylie – your family's Christmas Eve sounds SO comforting, and fun – my kinda place! Except for the crab legs – I'm not allergic, just don't eat seafood. So you and I could devour a cow together, and playing games, since I love them too, and have nobody to play them with. I have a whole huge box of board games in my garage which I haven't played with in YEARS! Craig – Christmas in PA sounds special also, especially that French Toast Casserole – never seen/heard of that, but sounds YYUMMY!!

Socially distanced hugs to both of you, and the ADORABLE Elvis, and Crosby. Stay strong, stay positive, stay healthy! !

  3. Since our families are only 15 minutes away from each other, when we started dating we did Christmas Eve with both sets of parents. We also celebrated with a mutual family friend. This year it was smaller, but still kept the traditions of a ham dinner. We then take the leftover ham and put it in our Christmas morning quiche.

  4. We're blessed in both our parents live close to each other. We start Christmas Eve morning with my family. We'll leave in the afternoon and stop by my wife's parents on the way home. We stay there until bedtime.

  5. Most years Christmas Eve is attending Candlelight Church Services and then going and seeing the Illuminaries set up on a street in our town. We come home and end up at least wrapping part of the gifts. This year was different in we got most of the gifts that had to go to other houses wrapped early as we had to ship the gifts for 2 year old great nephew-auntie scored big time with a wooden puzzle set here, and a 4 month old great niece who we got some soft cloth books.
Ended up going for a drive to look at Christmas lights making sure to go and see the illuminaries and of course Christmas Wreath lane which is in it's 60th year-it started as one block and is now expanded to 4 blocks long running between a park and a converted to an outdoor mall from an indooor shopping plaza. When someone moves from the street they leave the wreath for the new owners to put up each year they are there as well as any other decorations. If a house is empty for any reason others on the street make sure the wreath is set out on that house. We also went on a few other streets including Christmas Tree Trail, Mistit Lane, Archway Lane, and Angel Avenue only making a dent in the over 80 can't miss houses. landmark houses and lanes in our area with lights.

  6. We use to gather with my family and Gregs family on Christmas Eve and then in the evening the 4 of us would stop for hot chocolate and look at Christmas lights. Greg now works most Christmas Eve and Day so traditions have stopped

  7. Normal Christmas traditions is going to my in laws on Christmas Eve and we make a meal of appetizers and basically eat all day. When we come home we always read the kids The Night Before Christmas before bed and have the book my husband grew up with. This year we met some family at a park and did a socially distanced gift exchange. Although it was/is crazy windy in PA so was a bit of a challenge. Our beer was a Grilled Peach and salted caramel sour. I was super disappointed with it though. Was a little too heavy on the peach and tasted no caramel at all. Merry Christmas Craig and Kylie!

  8. Happy Christmas Eve. My dad’s birthday is today. He turned 89 today. We spend time together., eating , watching a movie and doing a toast where we each share something special about my dad. That is our tradition. I hope you both have a wonderful holiday season and a new year.

  9. I wrap and watch A Christmas Story on Christmas Eve too! Beef tenderloin, grilled oysters, and steamed shrimp are a yearly treat. Merry Christmas to you both, thank you for making a difficult year feel so much better.

  10. Growing up we always went to my Dad's parents' house and got to open up one present each. That stopped when they moved to Florida. Now that all of us kids are grown and out of the house the Holidays get a little hectic. Usually we go to my in-laws for Christmas Eve (not this year though), they live in New Jersey. I dread the trip every year since they usually have food that I can't eat or is contaminated by other foods ( usually shrimp, scallops and crab). We have learned to stop on the way there and grab a bite to eat. We have always spent Christmas day with my side of the family. Each kid takes a turn hosting dinner and chooses what we will be eating. We all contribute to the meal. A big part of my Christmas tradition is making massive amounts of cookies. Some years we have made 15 or so varieties. This year we will be drinking a cyser( apple wine).
