In the video 12 Days of Christmas 2021 : Gilmour’s Meats, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of imaginaryfunny Canadian comedians who can been seen in “Great White North”, a sketch which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it was aired on CBC Television in 1980. Bob’s part is created by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is performed by comic Dave Thomas. Despite developed originally as fluff to both satisfy and make fun of annoying Canadian content guidelines, the siblings morphed into a pop culture success in both Canada and the USA. The two soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
