In the video 12 days of christmas (akatsuki style).mp4, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of fictional Canadian siblings who were featured in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was broadcast on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob’s character is brought to life by comic Rick Moranis and Doug is acted by comic Dave Thomas. Despite made originally as a joke to both satisfy and make fun of network Canadian content rules, the brothers became a pop culture success in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie brothers enetually would become the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
