Bob and Doug McKenzie in 12 Days of Christmas

In the video 12 Days of Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of imaginaryfunny Canadian family members who were featured in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it was featured on CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is acted by comic Rick Moranis and Doug is performed by Dave Thomas. Despite made originally as a sketch to both satisfy and laugh at network Canadian content demands, the brothers transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie brothers went on to become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
