In the video 12 Days of Christmas – from NotGames to You , Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of imaginaryfunny Canadian actors who hosted “Great White North”, a skit which was shown on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it got sold to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob is performed by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was brought to life originally as a joke to both fulfill and makes jokes about annoying Canadian content demands, the characters transformed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the USA. The McKenzie brothers went on to become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
