Bob and Doug McKenzie in 12 Days of Christmas Lip Sync 1989

In the video 12 Days of Christmas Lip Sync 1989, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hilarious Canadian family members who were featured in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was featured on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it was aired on CBC Television in the 1980s. The character Bob McKenzie is played by Rick Moranis and the character Doug is performed by Dave Thomas. Despite made originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and laugh at stupid Canadian content policies, the two grew up to be a pop culture success in both Canada and the States. The brothers soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
