Bob and Doug McKenzie in 12 Days of Christmas

In the video 12 Days of Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of fictional Canadian comedians who were featured in “Great White North”, a sketch which was aired on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob’s character is played by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously brought to life originally as an idea to both satisfy and mock non sensical Canadian content demands, the siblings transformed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
