Bob and Doug McKenzie in 12 Days of Christmas Parody – ITALIAN PISAN STYLE – by Runaway Jane

In the video 12 Days of Christmas Parody – ITALIAN PISAN STYLE – by Runaway Jane, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of strange Canadian comedians who were featured in “Great White North”, a sketch which was shown on second city television for the show’s third season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob is performed by Rick Moranis and the character Doug is played by actor Dave Thomas. It was born originally as an idea to both please and laugh about annoying Canadian content guidelines, the brothers transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the USA. The two went on to become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
