In the video 12 Days of Christmas Parody with the late Frank Kelly, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hilarious Canadian comedians who hosted “Great White North”, a sketch which was featured on second city television for the show’s third season when it was featured on CBC Television in the eighties. Bob McKenzie is brought to life by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was developed originally as fluff to both fulfill and makes jokes about annoying Canadian content rules, the characters transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and America. The pair became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
