Bob and Doug McKenzie in 12 Days of Christmas

In the video 12 Days of Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of hilarious Canadian actors who hosted “Great White North”, a segment which was streamed on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob McKenzie is brought to life by Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is played by Dave Thomas. It was brought to life originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and laugh at non sensical Canadian content rules, the characters grew up to be a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the USA. The pair soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
