Bob and Doug McKenzie in 12 days of Christmas song (Italian Style)

In the video 12 days of Christmas song (Italian Style), Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of fictional Canadian siblings who hosted “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was streamed on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob’s part is created by comic Rick Moranis and Doug is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was developed originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and make fun of dumb Canadian content statutes, the two transformed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the United States. The pair later became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
