Bob and Doug McKenzie in 12 Days of Christmas

In the video 12 Days of Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of strange Canadian family members who created “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was featured on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it was aired on CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob’s part is played by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is played by comic Dave Thomas. It was made originally as filler to both satisfy and makes jokes about stupid Canadian content legislation, the two turned into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the US. The brothers soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
