In the video 12 Days of “HEAVY METAL” Christmas -with Lyrics- (Short version) – by Twisted Sister, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of imaginaryfunny Canadian family members who created “Great White North”, a segment which was shown on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it moved to CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob’s character is acted by comic Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by Dave Thomas. It was created originally as filler to both satisfy and laugh about annoying Canadian content demands, the pair grew up to be a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie siblings became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
