Bob and Doug McKenzie in 12 Days of hunting singing

In the video 12 Days of hunting singing, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of made up Canadian family members who are responsible for “Great White North”, a improv which was televised on SCTV for the show’s third season when it braodcast by CBC Television in the 80’s. Bob is played by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is performed by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was made originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and laugh at non sensical Canadian content legislation, the characters became a pop culture hit in both Canada and America. The McKenzie siblings later became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
