Bob and Doug McKenzie in 12 drug fuelled days of Christmas

In the video 12 drug fuelled days of Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of odd Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob’s part is created by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is played by the comedian Dave Thomas. The bit was born originally as a skit to both please and make fun of stupid Canadian content statutes, the duo became a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the USA. The pair soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
