Bob and Doug McKenzie in 12 Pains of Christmas SGH

In the video 12 Pains of Christmas SGH, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hilarious Canadian siblings who were featured in “Great White North”, a program which was aired on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob’s character is created by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is played by the comedian Dave Thomas. It was developed originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and make fun of non sensical Canadian content demands, the pair transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and America. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
