In the video 12 Redneck Day Of Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of strange Canadian brothers who can been seen in “Great White North”, a program which was featured on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it aired by CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob’s part is created by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is performed by comic Dave Thomas. It was developed originally as a joke to both please and make fun of dumb Canadian content demands, the pair became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The brothers soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
