the amelodic singing is sending me through the roof ☠
They are so good, eh?
Genius
This is the Best mockumentary of 1970's Canadian films ever made. I can't believe it. Back then you knew it was Canadian
Great waste of time in the face of the network law at the time. Better than comedy.
Sports reporter is definitely inspired by Dick Beddoes.
What I learned from watching this classic comedy sketch is that Canada has always sucked, even before Justin Trudeau.
After the ecological activist, Catherine, reconciled her beliefs with the violence of organized sports, the relationship between her and Billy evolved. At the end of Billy's rookie season, specifically on the morning after Billy sealed the Stanley Cup Trophy for the Toronto Bay Leafs with a hat trick in Game 7 of the championship series against his childhood favorites, the Chicago Black Hawks, they eloped. He continued on to a Hall of Fame career, justifying Herb Kirk's faith in him. "The Chief" joined Billy in 3 NHL All-Star games, and together they led the Canadians to Olympic gold in 1998, when professionals were first allowed into the Games. Catherine and Billy raised 4 beautiful children, three whom followed their dad's "footsteps" into the hockey rink, including their lone daughter. Billy retained a fondness for his beloved Black Hawks, retiring to a Chicago suburb and becoming a loyal season ticket holder.
I love John Candy's Joo Fro !
Literally, every CBC drama program I saw growing up in the 60s and 70s.... except this is good. The headscratcher ending was perfect. Hilarious!! But, I would expect nothing less from SCTV.
