(1992), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of made up Canadian actors who were featured in “Great White North”, a show which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it was aired on CBC Television in the 80’s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is brought to life by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Although created originally as filler to both follow guidelines and laugh about dumb Canadian content policies, the duo transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the US. The two soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
