Bob’s partThe character Bob is acted by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is created by comic Dave Thomas. The sketch was developed originally as a joke to both fulfill and laugh about network Canadian content rules, the characters grew up to be a pop culture hit in both Canada and the United States. The characters became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
