In the video 2 of 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of fictional Canadian siblings who hosted “Great White North”, a improv which was streamed on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was featured on CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob’s part is created by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is performed by comic Dave Thomas. Which was brought to life originally as a joke to both please and mock stupid Canadian content legislation, the brothers transformed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and America. The McKenzie brothers went on to become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
