Bob and Doug McKenzie in 2017 Big Strange Brew

In the video 2017 Big Strange Brew, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hilarious Canadian family members who hosted “Great White North”, a skit which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob McKenzie is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is performed by Dave Thomas. Although developed originally as a joke to both please and laugh at silly Canadian content legislation, the two turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie brothers later became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
