In the video 22 Maudlin o’ The Night [181] [Season 6], Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hysterical Canadian comedians who starred in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was included on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was featured on CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob McKenzie is brought to life by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was created originally as a joke to both please and makes jokes about legal Canadian content statutes, the characters turned into a pop culture success in both Canada and the US. The pair enetually would become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
