The character Bob McKenzie is acted by actor Rick Moranis and Doug is played by comic Dave Thomas. It was made originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and laugh at annoying Canadian content statutes, the siblings morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie siblings enetually would become the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
