Bob and Doug McKenzie in 30 The Gerry Todd Show II [104] [Seasons 4 & 5]
In the video 30 The Gerry Todd Show II [104] [Seasons 4 & 5], Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of strange Canadian comedians who starred in “Great White North”, a skit which was aired on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it aired by CBC Television in the year 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is acted by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is acted by Dave Thomas. The sketch was developed originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and laugh about stupid Canadian content demands, the siblings transformed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and across the border. The two soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
These videos are in no way meant to replace the purchasing of commercially produced DVDs of SCTV. Making this series available is in no way meant to break copyright law. I am hoping fans of the series will have renewed interest in SCTV and will spread the word about this Classic Canadian Comedy Legend.
I have included all 185 episodes of the Syndicated Series of SCTV. Please note that the Syndicated Series has material not available on the current crop of DVDs, and also that the DVDs have material not available in the Syndicated Series. Please note that there is also material not available in either.
This means that at this time, the complete series is not commercially available for purchase. I hope you will consider signing the online petition at

Tom Monroe is the greatest entertainer since Linsk Minyak.
I loved these people. The best comedy ever ! Icons even today.
Hilarious, Moranis pulling double duty as Gerry Todd and Mike McDonald, classic!
Ha! They did Michael McDonald so dirty. Twice!

The Jerry Todd Show is my favorite segment. So is The Days of the Week. Honestly, this season (4? 5?) is actually really good!
I watch the Gerry Todd Show. Gerry.
Funny!
Question: did video discs really get locked grooves like that?
Apparently Chris cross career didn't survive the era of music videos he wasn't handsome enough.
Love how the 2nd half of the show is almost entirely Rick Moranis.

Crooner Tom Monroe is a great character. Love Gerry Todd too!
Dave Thomas bears a credible resemblance to Benny Hill.Every aspect of SCTV-talent,direction,make-up,and all technical aspects-were top-grade,and made the show the GOAT of all comedy shows.
87 Tv's were sacrificed to bring you this episode of SCTV!
Midnight Star is hilarious, and has one of the best lines ever uttered on TV: "Kissinger was drunker than I've ever seen him, and I've seen him drive limos backward through car washes!"
I also love the Benny Hill parody and the Ride Like The Wind segment. Thanks for sharing this awesome episode!
Gotta love that the supposed kovak camera is just a black polaroid autofocus type of camera
