In the video 34 Night Of The Prime Time Stars: Part 3 [108] [Seasons 4 & 5], Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of strange Canadian siblings who were featured in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. The character Bob McKenzie is brought to life by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. Despite born originally as a skit to both fulfill and laugh at network Canadian content demands, the brothers transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the USA. The characters soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
