Bob and Doug McKenzie in 4 Poets in Montana Dave Thomas

In the video 4 Poets in Montana Dave Thomas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of made up Canadian family members who can been seen in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was streamed on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. The character Bob McKenzie is played by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. Although developed originally as an idea to both please and laugh about stupid Canadian content guidelines, the brothers became a pop culture hit in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie brothers became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
