In the video 420 NEWS Today is Moscow … PUTIN wins 2012 election … CCCP1 hacks Newsfeed, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of made up Canadian comedians who hosted “Great White North”, a sketch which was aired on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it got sent to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob is brought to life by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. Which was born originally as filler to both satisfy and mock stupid Canadian content demands, the duo morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The pair became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
