One of the best dumb movies ever. I’m surprised that there was nothing mentioned about Max von Sydow in the movie- considered one of the greatest actors of all time.
The brewery scenes were shot at Prince George BC Pacific Western brewery. Used to be called the old Fort George brewing Co.
There was a soundtrack album of Strange Brew, and they stressed on it that it's NOT their 2nd album.
But aside from clips and songs from the movie, it's very similar in style to their first album.
Brewers Retail wouldn't let them use the name. They pulled up to a Beer Store, long before the name changed. There was an all brands Brewers Retail a block away from the empty store front they used as a set. It's where I went for quarts of Ex. My local Brewers retail, Agincourt Mall, didn't carry quarts.
Elsinore Castle was Casa Loma. The Elsinore Brewery was Hearn Generating Plant. Watch for the Cathedral Bluffs.
