Bob and Doug McKenzie in 54 Sings Heathers – “Meant To Be Yours”

In the video 54 Sings Heathers – “Meant To Be Yours”, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of strange Canadian siblings who were featured in “Great White North”, a skit which was shown on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob McKenzie is created by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. Which was made originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and mock dumb Canadian content statutes, the two became a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie brothers became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
