These videos are in no way meant to replace the purchasing of commercially produced DVDs of SCTV. Making this series available is in no way meant to break copyright law. I am hoping fans of the series will have renewed interest in SCTV and will spread the word about this Classic Canadian Comedy Legend.
I have included all 185 episodes of the Syndicated Series of SCTV. Please note that the Syndicated Series has material not available on the current crop of DVDs, and also that the DVDs have material not available in the Syndicated Series. Please note that there is also material not available in either.
This means that at this time, the complete series is not commercially available for purchase. I hope you will consider signing the online petition at

In case your wondering: the music at 0:46 is the instrumental portion of Silent Night from Disneys Christmas Favorite.
No, I was named after my fathers dog LOL
Who plays The Mouse???
Do you guys have any idea how many plays Neil Simon wrote? I'm sure it's over 30. And he has the most Academy Award nominations for any writer due to his screenplays!
Marsha! It's Marsha, God damn you! LOL!
It took me a few times watching to realize the entrance to the room with Richard Dreyfus has the music from Close Encounters.
Joe Flaherty as Sammy Maudlin, a cross between Eddie Fisher and Dean Martin. The Late Great John Candy milking it as "Ed MacMahon". Dave Thomas as Neil Simon (LOL). Eugene Levy dead-on as Judd Hirsch. Andrea Martin looks and sounds just like Marsha Mason. Rick Moranis killing it as Richard Dreyfuss. Joe Flaherty (yes him again) remarkable as Alan Alda. Dave Thomas (him again) hamming it up as Michael Caine. Catherine O Hara (wow) as dame Maggie Smith. "We have the perfect relationship. She calls the shots and I pour them." Genius line by the way. John Candy (him again) hilarious as James Coco. That's what made SCTV great, and dare I say it. Yes, I think it was BETTER than SNL!
Planes, Trains & Automobiles
If you could combine Joe Flaherty's look as Alan Alda with Bill Hader's vocal impression of him, you'd have an almost perfect replica.
