In the video 58 SCTV Christmas Party [132] [Seasons 4 & 5], Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of strange Canadian family members who were featured in “Great White North”, a program which was broadcast on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it braodcast by CBC Television in 1980. Bob McKenzie is played by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is performed by Dave Thomas. Despite born originally as a skit to both satisfy and laugh at silly Canadian content legislation, the two transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The characters became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

This is too funny! SCTV was, is, and always will be pure comedy gold – also, having Bob and Doug come in right at the end was hilarious. This Christmas special shows that other holiday comedy programs don't even come close.
