Bob and Doug McKenzie in 65 New York Rhapsody [139] [Seasons 4 & 5]
In the video 65 New York Rhapsody [139] [Seasons 4 & 5], Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of odd Canadian siblings who created “Great White North”, a segment which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it was featured on CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob McKenzie is played by the funny Rick Moranis and the character Doug is played by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was brought to life originally as filler to both please and laugh at annoying Canadian content demands, the siblings turned into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the United States. The two enetually would become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
These videos are in no way meant to replace the purchasing of commercially produced DVDs of SCTV. Making this series available is in no way meant to break copyright law. I am hoping fans of the series will have renewed interest in SCTV and will spread the word about this Classic Canadian Comedy Legend.
I have included all 185 episodes of the Syndicated Series of SCTV. Please note that the Syndicated Series has material not available on the current crop of DVDs, and also that the DVDs have material not available in the Syndicated Series. Please note that there is also material not available in either.
This means that at this time, the complete series is not commercially available for purchase. I hope you will consider signing the online petition at

lol… perty…. in an offbeat kind a way……
The violinist was amazing. Ive never heard some of the things he did. Very unique…at least to me.
Meryl Streep and Catherine O'Hara both worked on the movie Heartburn a few years later. At the wrap party, someone looped O'Hara's impression of Streep on a monitor.
The Yngwie Malmsteen of violinists.
The banter between the 2 leads…I love it!
Whoa! Catherine O'Hara as Joan Crawford? She was remarkable!
I keel him! I WILL KEEL HIM! LMAO!
I loved that Small Town Dick skit! A real throwback to the early days of SCTV!

Andrea Martin's a nut! I love her zaniness! She always played weirdos and she was pretty in real-life!
