In the video 68 SCTV Janitorial Strike: Part 1 [142] [Seasons 4 & 5], Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of odd Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a show which was televised on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it aired by CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is acted by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is created by Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was brought to life originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and laugh about annoying Canadian content laws, the duo morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The brothers went on to become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
