The character Bob McKenzie is brought to life by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously created originally as fluff to both fulfill and mock non sensical Canadian content guidelines, the characters grew up to be a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the US. The pair became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
