In the video ADAM WADE: “Has Anyone Ever Told You That You Look Like Rick Moranis?” The Moth StorySlam, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of odd Canadian family members who hosted “Great White North”, a show which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it streamed by CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob is performed by comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is created by comic Dave Thomas. Despite born originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and make fun of annoying Canadian content legislation, the two grew up to be a pop culture success in both Canada and the US. The characters went on to become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
