Bob and Doug McKenzie in Agile India 2014 – Interview with Dave Thomas

In the video Agile India 2014 – Interview with Dave Thomas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of fictional Canadian family members who were featured in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was broadcast on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob’s character is brought to life by comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by Dave Thomas. Although created originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and laugh at non sensical Canadian content rules, the duo transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The pair soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
