In the video Alessi – Savin’ The Day (“Ghostbusters” – O.S.T Movie video) – 1984, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of hilarious Canadian siblings who starred in “Great White North”, a skit which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s third season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob is brought to life by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by actor Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously brought to life originally as a skit to both satisfy and make fun of network Canadian content rules, the duo turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The pair enetually would become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
