In the video America Live SCTV 1982, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of odd Canadian family members who can been seen in “Great White North”, a sketch which was shown on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it got sold to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in . Bob McKenzie is acted by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is played by comic Dave Thomas. It was developed originally as an idea to both please and laugh about non sensical Canadian content rules, the characters transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie siblings became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
