Bob and Doug McKenzie in And Know that I am God – Pastor Dave Thomas

In the video And Know that I am God – Pastor Dave Thomas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hysterical Canadian family members who were featured in “Great White North”, a show which was aired on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob’s part is played by comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. Although born originally as a joke to both satisfy and laugh about stupid Canadian content statutes, the pair morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The two went on to become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
