Bob and Doug McKenzie in Animation Lookback: Walt Disney Animation Studios pt 12 COMMENTARY
In the video Animation Lookback: Walt Disney Animation Studios pt 12 COMMENTARY, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of odd Canadian actors who hosted “Great White North”, a improv which was aired on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob is created by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. Although brought to life originally as filler to both fulfill and laugh about dumb Canadian content laws, the characters transformed into a pop culture success in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie brothers enetually would become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

I think I know why Disney movies sucked in the mid 2000s it's because Roy e Disney lefted Disney in 2003 and Michael got mad
7:16 His name is actually Alameda Slim.
I really like treasure planet and brother bear
Sweating Bullets? Like what is that title?
I loved treasure planet! It’s the first film that tried steam punk! Not done well but they should try again. I would love to see Epcot in steam punk lol.
And Disney doesn’t have to be magical to make a good villian
I loved Home On The Range:(
I like chicken little please don't judge me
you forgot to mention that Treasure Planet was based off Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson!
HOW DARE YOU TALK ABOUT UNCLE SLIM LIKE THAT!!! HIS YODELING IS ART!!!
Chicken Little is actually a bit of a guilty pleasure for me.
I think Home on the Range was worse… because in Chicken Little I saw at least some effort. Actualy Chicken Little is a guilty pleasure to me… because at least we have a somehow likable main character … the father is realy hatable, the animation – their first so I accept it, the jokes are really bad. But at least they tried in here. But in Home On The Range? I didn´t saw any effort in there. It seems to me always like a competition between Disney and Dreamworks. Who will make the worst movie of the year? Disney with Home On The Range, or Dreamworks with Shark Tale?
Treasure Planet: Not great but ok, Brother Bear: has potential, Home on the Range: Nothing but garbage, Chicken Little: ehhh.
Home on the Range and Chicken Little are a couple of my guilty pleasures.
@2:17 one again its utopian not distopian!
Tbh, i think Chicken Little is a guilty pleasure for me because i loved it when i was a kid, and i don't think it's awful. But, the father was annoying and so were most of the characters in that movie also, except the main character. Also, the jokes were flat.
Also, why did Pixar had to take some plot elements from Brother Bear for their movie Brave. That was stupid considering that not many people liked Brother Bear..
Hey. Have you ever thought about doing a commentary for Don Bluth, Dreamworks, and Pixar?
Treasure planet is still one of my favorites! I think it was made the way it was, to me more unique and it makes the story good. So it's awesome. And brother bear is also awesome! It's cute and you just love the two moose! Ok, because I'm from sweden and when these movies got out I was still young, so I have only seen them in swedish, but still! Both are really good and have a unique story 😀
No. Shrek 4 is depressing for no reason. It's not fun, the characters are mixed and not fun, Donkey and Puss couldn't save the depression. I remember thinking that it's the worst Shrek film. At least with Chicken Little I left happy.
2005. I saw it on my birthday too and to be honest I still like that film even to this day.
To me, Home on the Range is the worst animated film Disney has ever made in the 2000's. Chicken Little was better but still pretty bad and weak.
Treasure Planet was great! It did lose money though, only because of other AMAZING movies put out at the same time!
I slapped the crap out of my friend for thinking Chicken Little was a Pixar film.
I just thought of that when he mentioned the out of place clothing in the video! I thought the clothes worked just fine in the film. Its set in steampunk style, and I like steampunk 🙂
I LOVE YOUR YODELING!!!!
Don't be mad at me about this, but when I was little, I was obsessed with "Chicken Little". And, as for "Brother Bear", I like it. It was the main theme for an obsticle course in California Adventure, that I got hurt on, until "Up" replaced it, which I'm really mad about because it had some really cool stuff!
The other film was Gangs of New York directed by Martin Scorsese
I actually saw Chicken Little when I turned 6 or something (I don't remember the year it came out, that's what makes it confusing)
Your rant on Home on the Range made up for what you said about Brother Bear!
I love treasure planet!!! To me, it's the greatest Disney movie ever made!!!!! but that's Just me, and let me answer a question for you, the reason everyone is dressed the way they are in Treasure Planet it because its supposed to be based off of Treasure Island!!!! Witch takes place in the 1800's!!!! I'm 12 and even I figured that out!!!
i personally love treasure planet. i mean its a great film and failed due to harry potter and the chamber of secrets, lord of the rings, and some other popular film that hit theaters ( i think you put it up there) but over all i thought ti was great. but to each his own, still love your reviews though!
Personally, I find Chicken Little to be a guilty pleasure. At the very least, I thought the characters were interesting to watch, although most of them are very cliche
