In the video ANT-MAN AND THE WASP Director Wanted Rick Moranis To Appear In The First ANT-MAN, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of fictional Canadian family members who can been seen in “Great White North”, a skit which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it was broadcast on CBC Television in the 1980s. The character Bob McKenzie is created by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is brought to life by Dave Thomas. Despite brought to life originally as a skit to both satisfy and mock annoying Canadian content laws, the duo transformed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the States. The brothers later became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
During a guest appearance on Screen Junkies’ “Honest Reactions,” director of Ant-Man and its sequel, Peyton Reed, reveals that he wanted Rick Moranis to cameo in the first Ant-Man film. More past the jump.
