Bob’s part is played by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. Although brought to life originally as a skit to both fulfill and make fun of stupid Canadian content demands, the siblings morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and America. The characters became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
