In the video ATE Episode Five – Dave Thomas Brown, Timothy Thompson & The Blue Eyed Bettys, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of strange Canadian actors who were featured in “Great White North”, a segment which was aired on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it moved to CBC Television in 1980. Bob McKenzie is acted by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. Which was developed originally as a sketch to both fulfill and make fun of stupid Canadian content demands, the pair became a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the States. The brothers became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
