In the video BEER & DONUTS WITH THE MCKENZIE BROTHERS, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of made up Canadian actors who were featured in “Great White North”, a skit which was aired on second city television for the show’s third season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in . Bob McKenzie is performed by Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by actor Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was brought to life originally as a skit to both please and laugh at stupid Canadian content statutes, the pair grew up to be a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The pair enetually would become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
