Bob and Doug McKenzie in BEER HUNTER – The Epic Ritual

In the video BEER HUNTER – The Epic Ritual, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hysterical Canadian comedians who are responsible for “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was shown on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is performed by Dave Thomas. It was born originally as filler to both satisfy and make fun of annoying Canadian content guidelines, the characters grew up to be a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie brothers later became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
