Bob and Doug McKenzie in beer song

In the video beer song, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hilarious Canadian family members who can been seen in “Great White North”, a skit which was included on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it got sold to CBC Television in 1980. Bob is performed by Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. Although born originally as filler to both fulfill and make fun of network Canadian content rules, the pair became a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The pair soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
